In the heart of Puerto Natales, we were introduced to a menu where lamb, in its various preparations, takes center stage. The options are diverse, including seafood and fish. Even a pastrami sandwich steals the spotlight.

Ribs, shank, or these exquisite lamb chops with spicy mashed potatoes. The classic meat and potatoes taken to another level. Lamb with herbs, tender and delicious; smooth mashed potatoes with a hint of merquén, as the chef pays homage to Mapuche cuisine.

The sandwich, with sourdough bread and guanaco pastrami made in Puerto Natales by Ahumados Wimmer (we'll tell you more about this must-try another time).

The kitchen, led by Chef Diego Candia Vásquez, is made possible by local products, not only the classics like lamb or king crab but also seasonal vegetables from local gardens, homemade sausages, locally brewed beers and spirits, among many other products that emerge from this land with an advanced approach to utilizing its resources.

Espacio Ñandú is a traditional place in Puerto Natales—a warm restaurant and cafe where you can also find crafts and souvenirs to remember your visit to Última Esperanza.
